Discount Group Travel

It's hard to argue with group travel as a vacation alternative to travelling solo.  Sure, out on your own you have the freedom to do what you want, when you want - but by not partaking in a group vacation, you're missing out on camaraderie and shared experiences that only happen in groups.  When I think back at all the places I've been, it's not just the location that sticks in my mind, it was who I was enjoying the moment with.

That being established, if you're going to travel in a pack, seek out discount group travel opportunities.  If done properly, the savings you'll receive will add to the enjoyment.

Hotels, resorts, attractions, restaurants and tour companies love groups and they're all to quick to offer discounted group rates to entice you.  Since there's not a logical way to book group reservations online, most of your communication will be via email and the phone - don't be bashful about asking for deals, it's part of the negotiation.  You should be able to slice a percentage off the rack rate that's lower than available to the general public, plus get one or two free reservations based on how many people are in your group.  The general rule of thumb -the more passengers you have, the more free admissions or hotel rooms.

Although you cannot book group travel online, there are various sites that can help you research group travel destinations, and find the best discount group travel rates.  Visit them first for maximum savings.
